Stratis, a UK-based blockchain development platform, has announced the release of an ambitious cryptocurrency project ‘Breeze Wallet’ that is aimed in increasing the financial privacy available to the users of bitcoin and the Stratis Platform.
According to the announcement, the new project incorporates the innovations that are brought by TumbleBit to both bitcoin and Stratis into real-world production along with privacy enhancements that are introduced by the Full Block Secure Payment Validation system.
Stratis is utilizing TumbleBit due to its features including privacy, where transactions are truly private; untrusted, where no one can steal payments; compatible with today’s bitcoin protocol, among others.
“Everyone who is not using Bitcoin Core has already had all their addresses linked together by third parties. This is not a theoretical “assume the worst case” strategy, this is reality. The third parties are either the central servers your wallet relies on or in case of SPV wallets all Blockchain surveillance companies,” Adam Ficsor, one of the contributors to the TumbleBit research paper, stated.
The Stratis Platform intends to integrate TumbleBit into the Breeze Wallet making it the first bitcoin wallet that addresses the privacy issues in blockchain transactions and the Breeze Wallet does not require and forks.
The implementation of TumbleBit will speed up and streamline the development of Stratis full-block SPV TumbleBit wallet. It will also include in it a trustless, secure exchange for bitcoin-Stratis pair.
