‘Shades of Blue’ season 2’s episode 4, titled “Daddy’s Girl,” will unveil the truth behind Matt Wozniak’s unyielding loyalty to Julia Ayres. Meanwhile, Harlee will conduct her own investigation following Stahl’s attempts to arrest Julia at all costs.
The synopsis for “Daddy’s Girl” posted on TV Guide reads, “Realizing that Stahl (Warren Kole) will stop at nothing to arrest Julia Ayres (Anna Gunn), Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) decides to investigate on her own and determine whether there's any truth in his allegations of Ayres' active business with the mob.
Meanwhile, Wozniak (Ray Liotta) is confronted with a drug case that forces him to face the darkest demons from his past, his daughter's death, while exposing the origin of his loyalty to Ayres.”
The upcoming episode will reveal more truths behind Wozniak’s loyalty to Julia. According to Cartermatt, the show will focus on Wozniak as he deals with the series of complications that came his way lately. The series will also explore his relationship with the politician as he is confronted with a drug case.
Meanwhile, Harlee will conduct her own investigation to determine whether there is any concrete evidence of Stahl’s allegations of Ayre’s connection to the mob, considering Stahl’s attempts at putting her behind bars.
The crime-drama television series follows the story of a NYPD detective named Harlee Santos, who is forced to work in the FBI’s anti-corruption task force as she deals with her own family and financial problems. It seems that Lopez will be returning as Harlee for a third season after NBC announced a series renewal on March 17.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show received an early renewal for season 3. The upcoming season will consist of 10 episodes with Lopez also serving as executive producer along with Ryan Seacrest, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Nina Wass, and showrunner Jack Orman.
‘Shades of Blue’ season 2’s episode 4, titled “Daddy’s Girl,” is scheduled to air on NBC on March 26, 2017. It will be followed by episode 5, titled “Sweet Caroline,” scheduled to be released on April 2.
