SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 20, 2017 -- Sequent Platform release 17.5 is now available from Sequent Software, a leading tokenization service provider. Several major enhancements have been included in Sequent’s latest release all of which are available to existing Sequent customers and the broader tokenization community.
Customers currently leveraging Sequent’s hosted TSP-as-a-Service will get the new functionality in scheduled upgrades this month. At the same time, Sequent Platform 17.5 upgrade packages are ready for existing customers that have on-premise Sequent Platform deployments.
Application Developers can experience Sequent Platform token orchestration and token vault capabilities at no charge from Sequent’s hosted, PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, evaluation environment by contacting Sequent at [email protected].
Sequent Platform 17.5 now includes full integration to Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) token service provider. This new capability allows Mastercard Issuers to quickly and easily enable their mobile apps and IoT devices with tokenized bank card data created and verified by Mastercard. Sequent Platform orchestrates the secure provisioning and lifecycle management of the tokenized card data in smartphone apps and connected devices. Furthermore, with Sequent Platform, banks that are already a part of the MDES program can add tokenized card data to bank-branded m-banking and wallet apps without deploying any new software nor any new system level integrations.
This latest integration continues Sequent’s long-term vision of accelerating the adoption of digitized cards in smartphone apps and IoT devices with card data provided from the relatively few commercially available token vaults in the world. With Sequent Platform, mobile banking app providers can easily enhance both existing and new apps with comprehensive wallet functionality.
“Every card issued on all carried devices is the shared goal of our industry,” says Hans Reisgies, CTO and founder at Sequent. “Continued integration between token orchestrators and token generators will accelerate the digitization and use of every government ID, employee badge, transit card, car key, and bank payment card on smartphones and wearables. As the volume of in-store (NFC), in-app, and online transactions continue to grow, banks and payment service providers are looking for solutions that offer all-in-one solutions to tokenized card services.”
