IoT Innovator’s Challenge entries must be submitted through the LoRa Community, and eligible participants are required to develop a two minute video highlighting their new use case or design idea featuring Semtech’s SX126x platform. Six contestants with the most innovative use cases will be awarded an early edition of the next-generation LoRa Technology, SX126x, developer kit. Along with the developer kit, the top three contestants will also receive a monetary prize of $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place.
The contest will begin on February 27 at 5 a.m. PST and end on March 23 at 5 p.m. PST. The new features of the next-generation LoRa Technology IC chipsets help make it increasingly possible for developers to create new LoRa-enabled devices that solve every day problems.
“With a 50% reduction in power and a 45% reduction in size, the next-generation LoRa chipsets will help enable a new class of use cases for the Internet of Things worldwide,” said Vivek Mohan, Director of IoT for the Wireless and Sensing Products Group at Semtech. “LoRa Technology will remain the de facto standard for IoT as even more engineers and developers incorporate our chips into their applications and designs.”
Winners will be announced on April 10. For more information on the contest, visit the LoRa Community.
