After a long wait, fans finally know that “Rick and Morty” season 4 will certainly premiere this year. But the good news might not end there as the possibility for a “Harry Potter” crossover surfaced recently.

Just last week, Warner Media held its upfront event where “Rick and Morty” season 4 co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland were present. Daniel Radcliffe was also there for the comedy limited series “Miracle Workers.” Adult Swim and TBS, the networks where these shows are airing, are both owned by the entertainment conglomerate.

Ultimately, the said event might have become the venue that made the “Rick and Morty” season 4 and “Harry Potter” crossover possible. Roiland and Harmon were obviously excited upon learning from TCM’s Alicia Malone that Radcliffe is a fan of their animated series. Immediately, Roiland suggested, “He should be doing voices on our show, you know what I mean?” To which Harmon agreed, “Come on, Radcliffe. Come on over.”

Roiland made things even more interesting when he invited the “Harry Potter” actor for a short collaboration for “Rick and Morty” season 4. “He should come on the writers’ room and hang out for, like, a couple of days,” the series co-creator said.

On the other hand, Radcliffe was equally excited, making this blockbuster collaboration even more possible. “That would be insane, I would love to do that,” the “Now You See Me 2” star told Malone in a separate interview. Meanwhile, Harmon’s Instagram page shows they got to personally meet Radcliffe later at the event. Fans can only hope that this would actually lead to hearing Radcliffe’s very familiar voice in one of the “Rick and Morty” season 4 episodes.

The “Harry Potter” movies were produced by Warner Bros., though there might still be some licensing intricacies that could prevent the actual wizard from Hogwarts from meeting Rick and Morty. But even a parody-like character would be a great addition to the 70-episode run of “Rick and Morty” season 4 slated to begin in November.
