“Rick and Morty” season 4 is already long-delayed since the third season ended in October last year. Now, it has been more than a year, is there any update about the show?

Although the details are really slow in coming as Adult Swim rarely release any update about “Rick and Morty” season 4, fans still get some bits of information from time to time as other people who have a connection to the show share details on social media. In other cases, fans have discussions on forums and some of the things that were shared there are legit because there are times when people involved in the adult-themed animated series also join.

In any case, here are the details about “Rick and Morty” season 4 that we know: Firstly, a total of 70 episodes were ordered for the upcoming seasons so it is certain that the fourth installment is coming - despite the long wait. The episodes are going to be divided and it is likely that season 4 will have at least 10 to 14 chapters in all.

“Rick and Morty” season 4’s renewal was announced for a while now and people are expecting that it is already in production. However, according to Ryan Elder, the series’ song composer, the fourth installment is still far from going into actual production because the writers are still in the process of writing the story.

Once the story is done and the scripts are done, there is still a long list of things to do in producing an animation. This means that it will take a long time before “Rick and Morty” season 4 arrives. Then again, there are rumors that there is a chance that Adult Swim is planning to release a Christmas special to tide fans over as they wait.

Meanwhile, “Rick and Morty” season 4 has no release date yet but there are speculations that it will be ready by 2019. Fans just have to wait for the announcement of its official premiere date.
