‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 21, titled “RAINBOW,” will follow Alex and the rest of the members of the task force as they attempt to stop an impending deadly terrorist attack by the group, the Collaborators. They will need to put clues together as they work with old allies to create a strategy to stop the Collaborators once and for all.
The synopsis for episode 21 posted on TV Guide reads, “A flood of new proposals shines a light on the final stages of the Collaborators' plan. Fractured but not defeated, the task force, aided by some old friends, works to put the pieces together before the Collaborators launch a terrorist attack.”
The penultimate episode will follow Alex (Priyanka Chopra) and the rest of the task force as they attempt to stop an impending terrorist attack by the Collaborators, according to Christian Post. Although time is running out, the task force will continue to work together to come up with a plan by enlisting help from old allies.
In the promo, the team is told that the threat is a terrorist attack on a national level akin to the tragedy wrought by 9/11. It seems that they will need to look into air travel as the prime means of the enemies’ planned attack.
As passengers are seen in a terminal and boarding a plane, a voice in the background is heard saying, "We have passengers boarding planes who don't know their own phones are gonna turn them into hijackers." In the next scene, Alex declares, “The first attack will be today.” It seems that the team will do everything they can to try and stop the terrorist attacks before it is too late.
‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 21, titled “RAINBOW,” is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2017 on ABC. It was directed by Patrick Norris and written by Cameron Litvack. It will be followed by episode 22, titled “RESISTANCE,” directed by Jim McKay and written by Joshua Safran and scheduled to be released on May 15.
