“Prison Break” season 6 is anticipated because the last season ended and it left many questions to the viewers. Moreover, it has been two years since the fifth installment aired, so the excitement for the show is quite high.
Although “Prison Break” season 6 was confirmed to be in development last year, filming for the series took a while to begin so currently, the shoot is still ongoing. It was FOX’s president of entertainment, Michael Thorn, who relayed the good news to the fans and he received a very positive response from those who have been waiting for the Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) and Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield) drama.
Filming is ongoing
Thorn assured fans that “Prison Break” season 6 is not canceled and in fact, the cast and crew have gone back to filming in November last year. Purcell also affirmed that they are back on the set and working hard to produce only the best screenplay for the viewers.
Storyline - What will happen
There is still some waiting time before “Prison Break” season 6 arrives, but people already want to know what they can expect when the series airs. What is in store for the fans? Will there be big changes in the storyline?
Fox has not yet released the official plot for the sixth season of “Prison Break” but in his previous interview, the show’s executive producer, Paul Scheuring, may have hinted on how the story will go in the next season.
In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, the EP revealed that season 6 might feature a flashback so they can go back to the beginning. They will be traveling back to the time before the troubles of brothers Lincoln and Michael. This means that they will be showing the scenes that happened in the show’s 2005 release and they are doing this to create twists in the upcoming stories.
“The idea was Michael comes back and he’s apparently got a normal life, but with that comes a creeping paranoia that things can’t stay good like this,” Scheuring explained with regards to what might happen to the protagonist in the new season. “You realize that a man like this could never go back to a normal life but again that didn’t end up happening exactly how we wanted it so this is what we got on film.”
