Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to quit and leave the palace as members of the “senior royals.” The shocking announcement just capped a really rough year for Queen Elizabeth as she had to face many scandals and controversies in recent months.

She had to deal with her family’s issues, with the latest one involving Prince Andrew, who was linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse scandals. In any case, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that they decided to step down as members of the royal family but will still be supporting the Queen.
“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution,” the couple announced via Instagram. “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”
The reactions on the couple’s sudden action
As soon as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the announcement, many people slammed the former “Suits” actress for what just happened. The public is blaming her for pulling the royals apart since the day she joined the family. They are saying that Markle destroyed Harry’s relationship with his brother, and now, she is separating him from his entire family.
Piers Morgan, an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality and currently a co-presenter at “Good Morning Britain,” did not think twice about airing what he thinks regarding the duke and duchess’ move. He agreed with the critics’ opinions that Meghan Markle split up the royal family. Morgan said that the duchess has a history of breaking up families and destroying relationships, and now she did it to the Royals too.
“People say I'm too critical of Meghan Markle - but she ditched her family, ditched her Dad, ditched most of her old friends, split Harry from William & has now split him from the Royal Family,” Morgan tweeted. “I rest my case.”
Moreover, he calls their decision to quit as “spiteful treachery against your own family” and further described Meghan and Prince Harry as “shameless spoiled brats.” The journalist is convinced that this is such a disgraceful way to treat Her Majesty and wrote, “Shame on Harry & Meghan.”
Meanwhile, a palace aide could not hold back his anger and suggests that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being unfair and brats. He said that they were given everything they wanted from the kind of wedding they want to their home and staff so he wonders what more could they want.
“The level of deceit has been staggering and everyone from the top of the royal household to the bottom feels like they have been stabbed in the back,” another source told UK’s The Daily Mail.
