“Power” season 6 is set to return soon, as confirmed by Starz. However, it was also revealed to be the last. Since this is the final run, the show will not be returning on its usual playdate of June or July, but it will premiere on August 25 instead as revealed on Twitter in May.
“Power” season 6 will present a really powerful ending that will continue and end the story of James ‘Ghost' St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), a club owner embroiled in drug-related cases. He wants to get out of the syndicate and start a better life, but things are very complicated now to do this. Still, he will do his best to remove himself from the city's notorious drug world.
The title of “Power” season 6 was also unveiled, and the final installment will be called “The Final Betrayal.” As suggested in the title, the lead character Ghost will seek as people has betrayed him, and disappointingly, they are the ones who are close to him.
“Power” creator Courtney A. Kemp also dropped some spoilers about what the viewers will see in the series’ final run. She also said that they also considered what the fans want for the show before finalizing the storyline.
“We will follow some of your beloved Power characters beyond the scope of the initial series,” Entertainment Weekly quoted Kemp as saying in a statement. “But we will play with your expectations of which characters, where, and the master timeline of it all, creating a ‘Power’ universe as unpredictable as the original.”
Part of the official synopsis for “Power” season 6 stated that Ghost would try to get even with Tommy as he betrayed him. He will also aim to build the Queens Child Project then start living a clean life with no links to criminal activities.
“Power” season 6 will still star Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora, and Lela Loren. They will be supported by La Keisha Grant, Rotimi Akishosho, Naturi Naughton and Michael Rainey Jr. 50 Cent who is also the executive producer will make his directorial debut this season.
