Polish wage growth likely to have slowed down in September

Polish wage growth data for the month of September is set to be released this week. According to an Erste Group Research, wage growth in Poland is likely to have slowed to 6.5 percent in the month from August’s 6.8 percent.

The situation on the Polish labor market continues to be favourable, with a low jobless rate; however, the underlying trend on wage growth appears to have steadied at about 7 percent dynamics. Strong wage growth, if it continues, is likely to eventually translate into inflationary pressure, added Erste Group Research.
