Philippines export growth likely rebounded modestly

The Philippines will release February export data on 8 April. 

Export growth to China, Japan, and South Korea was likely muted owing to flat demand. Manufactured-goods exports have grown at a more sluggish pace recently due to slower exports of non-electronic components.

However, electronics-export growth has been more resilient, and this trend likely continued in February.

"We expect export growth to have rebounded to 2.7% y/y owing to fewer working days, after a 0.5% m/m decline in January", Says Standard Chartered
