‘One Piece’ Episode 854 Air Date, Spoilers: Luffy Gets Beat Down of a Lifetime, Completely Outmatched

The way a typical “One Piece” arc goes, Luffy is beaten by the boss at first because of carelessness on his part. However, he usually rises back up to pummel them the next time they meet. In “One Piece” Episode 854 and even the previous episodes, though, it’s clear that he is outclassed by Katakuri. The Sweets Commander is a superior fighter in practically every way, and Luffy is getting the beating of a lifetime.

As viewers will note in the preview clip for “One Piece” Episode 854, Luffy is not having a great day as he goes against Katakuri. The previous episode had already shown the clear difference in skill between the two fighters. Although they may seem similar in abilities and strength, the Sweets Commander has his foresight to give him a distinct advantage.

What’s more, the short video also shows Katakuri bringing out a spear, which means that he is finally ready to finish the fight. Before this, he had been using only his arms and legs, and they were more than enough to cause Luffy a considerable amount of damage. With the three-bladed spear that he calls Mogura, it’s clear that “One Piece” Episode 854 is going to be a bad one for the Straw Hat captain.

As for why “One Piece” Episode 854 is titled “The Threat of the Mole! Luffy’s Silent Fight,” it’s because Luffy is trying to set up a meeting with his crewmates while fighting. Not wanting to give the details away, the aspiring Pirate King is trying to be discreet. Unfortunately, his efforts are in vain.

As Otaku Art notes, Brulee heard everything that he discussed with Nami and the rest. Brulee will then report to Perospero, which guarantees that a trap is waiting for the Straw Hats. This will become fairly obvious when “One Piece” Episode 854 airs on
