The newest assessment in PeopleKeys’ educational product line, The Scholastic Success Report, has already been successfully utilized for years in proprietary tutoring diagnostic programs. Professional tutors have used the assessment as a springboard to develop soft-skills enhancement plans for students who needed to expand their study and learning skills. However, this assessment is now available to the public from the PeopleKeys store.
The creator of the StudentKeys program, Coleen Kulkin, Director of Product Development for PeopleKeys, believes this new product is also an important piece in improving students’ hard skills. “It is just as important for teachers and tutors to assess and improve soft-skills, as it will benefit in their quest to improve hard skills. Revealing each student’s natural preference for communicating, absorbing new information, processing new information, and the student’s motivational style will help teachers and tutors better create hard-skills learning plans. The more insight tutors have to target preferences, the more likely he or she will be to ensure the student is motivated, receptive, engaged, and retaining the hard-skill tutoring they receive.”
