NFT: Melania Trump jumps into blockchain with the launch of her own NFT art and platform

Photo by: Malania Trump Press Release

Melania Trump is the latest big name to jump into the NFT bandwagon. The former First Lady of America is getting into the crypto world as her very first venture since leaving the White House earlier this year.

Melania Trump just announced the release of her non-fungible token, and it is now up for sale. The ex-FLOTUS launches a cryptocurrency bidding to auction her NFT art that features the watercolor painting of her eyes. The lucky buyer will also get to have an audio message of "hope" recorded by Trump herself.

According to CNN News, the 51-year-old former model and Donald Trump's wife has released her NFT and put it up for auction to raise money for foster care charities. Her non-fungible token art has been simply titled "Melania's Vision."

Melania's NFT digital art will be sold through her own newly-launched platform. The new site for digital assets is planning to release NFTs regularly and proceeds from the sales are likely to be used in charitable endeavors. The former FLOTUS' NFT site is said to be powered by Parler.

In any case, Melania Trump's first NFT is a watercolor painting done by Marc-Antoine Coulon. The limited-edition digital art has a tag price of around 1 Solana (SOL) that is equivalent to around $150, and it will be available for sale between Dec. 16 and Dec. 31.

Part of the proceeds from the total sales will be used to help children who are aging under the foster care system. They want to help these children through economic empowerment and expanded access to resources that they need to shine in the fields of technology and computer science.

"I am proud to announce my new NFT endeavor, which embodies my passion for the arts, and will support my ongoing commitment to children through my 'Be Best initiative,'" Melania said in a press release. "Through this new technology-based platform, we will provide children computer science skills, including programming and software development, to thrive after they age out of the foster community."

The NFT is considered Melania Trump's very first public venture after leaving the White House. She has been very private since moving to Florida and she just returned to the spotlight for this project.
