The NBA renewed its broadcast partnership with Indonesia Entertainment Group (Emtek) originally signed in 2017, as its exclusive over-the-top (OTT) media service provider in the country.
Coverage will be available in both English and Bahasa.
The expanded agreement will let Emtek air over 250 games per season on its Vidio streaming platform and broadcast up to four weekly fixtures on its free-to-air (FTA) channel Moji and Champions TV pay-TV service.
Emtek will also offer the NBA TV 24-hour channel and localized programming such as documentaries and docuseries.
The renewal will see the two parties continue to produce the ‘NBA Weekend Showdown’ program, which is hosted by local influencers and basketball personalities and reflects on events both on and off the court.
Emtek will also continue to support the Jr. NBA initiative, which has impacted more than 23.6 million youth across Indonesia since 2014.
Monika Rudijono, managing director of Vidio, noted that their high-definition broadcast quality, solid network connections, and a vast distribution range will make watching more enjoyable for Indonesian fans.
