Most Asian markets in red ahead of Fed chair Yellen’s speech, gold flat at $1,227

All the major Asian indices were trading on a lower note on Tuesday. The main event for the day is Fed chair Yellen’s speech. Gold was trading in narrow range in early hours of Asia and stabilizes above $1,220 mark. Silver was trading around $17.85 marks.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 0.73 percent lower at 19,318 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.07 percent lower at 23,695 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.22 percent lower at 8,785.70 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.15 percent lower at 28,310 points.

Australia’s S&P ASX200 was trading around 0.05 percent higher at 5,761 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.46 percent lower at 2,070 points.

Shanghai composite index to open flat at 3,216.14 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,438.51 points.
