LOS ANGELES, Jan. 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Morris Polich & Purdy LLP, a California and Nevada law firm, is pleased to announce three new partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2016 - Ariana Sarabia, Sue S. Junn and Raina L. Richter.
Ariana Sarabia joins the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices and focuses her practice on government contracts, construction law, environmental law, compliance and ethics. Ms. Sarabia has extensive in-house experience, having served as Chief Counsel, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary for Gilbane Federal, Western Regional Counsel for MACTEC and Environmental Counsel for Potlatch Corporation. In addition to her legal experience, her background as a materials and processes engineer in the aerospace industry enables her to assist manufacturing, electronics, and other heavy industry clients with a thorough understanding of the technical components of their legal matters, providing a unique interpretation and analysis.
Ariana received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her law degree from Harvard Law School. She is a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Hispanic National Bar Association. Ariana’s pro bono work includes teaching business courses in Spanish to small business owners and serving as guardian ad litem for children seeking political asylum in the United States.
Sue Junn is located in the Los Angeles office and her primary area of practice is civil litigation with an emphasis in defending health facilities and their owners against claims based in negligence, intentional misconduct, statutory violations, and cases involving catastrophic injuries and punitive damages. Her industry focus is in Catastrophic Injury/Wrongful Death, Employment Law, Life Sciences, Long Term Care and Healthcare, and Products Liability. Sue is a member of the Los Angeles, Korean American, and Asian Pacific American Bar Associations. She is also the Co-Head Commissioner of the Crescent Bay Optimist Sports League and a Board Member for the non-profit Next Level Basketball LA.
Raina Richter is located in the Los Angeles office and specializes in civil litigation with an emphasis in the defense of professionals and their companies against claims based in fraud, negligence, and contracts. Raina’s industry focus is in Architect and Engineer Law, Catastrophic Injury/Wrongful Death, Commercial Property Management, Construction Law, Homeowner/Landlord Liability, Professional Liability, Property Boundary Disputes/Landslides, and Trademark and Copyright. Raina is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and serves as the Liaison for the DRI Women in the Law, Professional Liability Section.
