'Mashle: Magic and Muscles' Season 2 Release Date, Cast and Spoilers: All Things Fans Should Know

Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming "Mashle: Magic and Muscles" Season 2.

“Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2 is underway! There is no denying that “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” was a surprising smash during the spring 2023 anime season.

For starters, “Mashle,” a slapstick comedy at heart, relates the story of Mash Burnedead (yep), a youngster born into a magical world but lacking any power himself. Instead of concentrating on his lack of sorcery, Mash compensates by becoming an expert at striking objects.

The characters, setting, and plot are all lifted directly from the other famous wizarding realm. Nonetheless, “Mashle” was able to boost its derivative design with a slew of good-natured silly comedy. Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles’ Season 2 Release Date

Most, if not all, fans can recall that “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2 was announced after the Season 1 finale aired. The announcement was released on the show's official Twitter account, along with a tiny teaser confirming that the show would return in January 2024. The official release date has yet to be determined, per Digital Spy.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles’ Season 2 Cast

Now that we know “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2 is on the way, fans can expect all of your favorite characters from the first 12 episodes to return, including Mash Burnedead voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi (Japanese) and Aleks Le (English); Finn Ames voiced by Reiji Kawashima (Japanese) and Brian Timothy Anderson (English); Lance Crown voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (Japanese) and Stephen Fu (English); Dot Barrett voiced by Takuya Eguchi (Japanese) and Benjamin Diskin (English); and Lemon Irvine voiced by Reina Ueda (Japanese) and Anjali Kunapaneni (English).

It has been claimed that “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2 will also introduce us to a few new characters, notably Finn's older brother Rayne Ames, Prefect of Adler House. And some of the new characters have been confirmed, which include Ryoh Grantz voiced by Junichi Suwabe (Japanese), Orter Mádl voiced by Yuki Ono (Japanese), Kaldo Gehenna voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki (Japanese), Renatus Revol voiced by Kisho Taniyama (Japanese), Tsurara Halestone voiced by Tomori Kusunoki (Japanese) and Sophina Biblia voiced by Saori Hayami (Japanese).

Mashle: Magic and Muscles’ Season 2 Spoilers

Along with the “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2 confirmation, the official “Mashle” Twitter account posted a short teaser and the revelation that the program would adopt the Divine Visionary Selection Exam arc from the original manga. The first season of the anime focused on the Easton Enrollment Arc and the Magia Lupus Arc, which made up the first 39 chapters of Hajime Komoto's original book, per Radio Times.

The Execution Arc is the next story arc in the series, a short story that leads into the much meatier Divine Visionary Selection Exam story, which spans chapters 44 to 77. Without giving too much away, the plot adds to Mashle's already absurd cast by introducing some bizarre new characters, including a group of school Prefects.

It's also worth noting that the Mashle manga has officially ended with chapter 163 as of July 2023. This means that, if all goes as planned, fans could see a full anime adaptation spread out across three or four installments after “Mashle: Magic and Muscles” Season 2.
