MAS to hold Singapore FinTech Festival in November, focus on blockchain, regtech and more

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is going to hold the third edition of the Singapore FinTech Festival from 12 to 16 November 2018 in Singapore.

The festival is organised by the MAS in partnership with The Association of Banks in Singapore and in collaboration with SingEx Holdings. Grand sponsors include AMTD, Deloitte and Prudential.

The festival will feature “FinTech Conference & Exhibition,” which will cover nine broad topics – Future of Banking, InsurTech, Capital Markets, Infrastructure Financing, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology, Payments, Cyber Security, RegTech, and Financial Inclusion.

Another segment, “FinTech Investor Summit,” has been enhanced to include two new components – FinTech Deal Day, which is aimed at facilitating fintech investment deals; and MATCH (Meet ASEAN’s Talents and Champions), aimed at facilitate deal-making by showcasing next-generation ASEAN start-ups and enterprises across all sectors, and connecting them with potential investors.

In addition, the festival will also include a Global FinTech Hackcelerator, Innovation Lab Crawl, and FinTech Awards.

We look forward to welcoming FinTech players and stakeholders from all over the world to Singapore, and to work with them to create new value and promote financial inclusion through innovation, digitalisation, and connectivity,” Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief FinTech Officer, MAS, said.
