San Diego Comic-Con 2018 saw a lot of surprises, and the announcement for “Legends of Tomorrow” Season 4 was one of the biggest. There were a lot of details revealed during the event, including when the new season is expected to air, some story information, and cast lineup. It seems this band of misfits is going monster hunting and John Constantine (Matt Ryan) is set to become a regular on the show.
Season 3 of the show ended in a rather interesting note, with the Legends defeating the villain Mallus with the help of the furry character Beebo, GameSpot reports. In “Legends of Tomorrow” Season 4, viewers will be treated to a more fantasy-esque narrative, with fairy tale creatures invading reality. Despite that rather cutesy description, however, it’s worth pointing out that these are monsters.
As such, “Legends of Tomorrow” Season 4 will see the gang become monster hunters, which should prove quite exciting. Of course, who better to help the team with supernatural dangers than John Constantine himself? This master of the demonic arts is going to become a series regular, at least for this season of the show. Fans of his canceled series will likely rejoice at this fact more than the other aspects of the announcements.
“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 4 is scheduled to air on Monday, Oct. 22 on The CW network. This season will also see the addition of two characters to join the gang. They are Alaska Yu (Ramona Young) and Hank Heywood (Tom Wilson). The former will help the Legends hunt down magical creatures, Entertainment Weekly reports, while the latter is something of a recurring character on the show.
Along with new characters, however, “Legends of Tomorrow” Season 4 will also lose some. Speedster Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will be making his exit from the show.
