CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Friday (2nd June) and cover positions up to Tuesday (30th May). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions; however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and increasing
Long positions increased for the second consecutive week. The net long position increased by 7,323 contracts to +167.1K contracts.
- Copper – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions decreased for the first time in three weeks. The net longs decreased by 3,387 contracts to +9.6K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and increasing
Long positions increased for the second consecutive week and by 10,241 contracts to +61.4K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and increasing
Speculators increased long positions for the second consecutive week and by 766 contracts, which brought the net positions to +373.8K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position long and decreasing
Long position declined by 22,029 contracts and that pushed the net position to +30.6K contracts.
