CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Friday (17th June) and cover positions up to Tuesday (14th June). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions, however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and increasing
Uncertainties prompted global investors to pour into yellow metal. Net long position got increased by 51,243 contracts to +279.9K contracts.
- Copper – Net position short and increasing
Copper net short position saw another increase. Net short position increased by 5,517 contracts to -44.8K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and increasing
After a decrease in the previous weeks, investors poured into silver Net long position rose by 12,598 contracts to +69.6K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and decreasing
Crude oil saw another large decrease in net long positions by 12,597 contracts to +312.6K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and decreasing
Natural gas another but small reduction in net short position by 2,571 contracts to -150.6K contracts.
