King Charles 'Tried Hard' to Make Peace With Prince Harry, Not Apologizing to Meghan Markle: Report

King Charles reportedly intended to enjoy a "quiet" birthday following his historic Coronation.

King Charles "tried hard" to mend fences with Prince Harry. However, the California-based royal's behavior has been "shocking," according to one expert, and the likelihood of him and his wife, Meghan Markle, attending the King's 75th birthday is slim.

King Charles Reportedly Reached Out to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

In an interview with GB News, royal biographer Angela Levin said that King Charles intended to enjoy a "quiet" birthday following his historic Coronation, but that royal fans shouldn't expect Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend. She told the channel that Prince Harry is absolutely determined not to re-engage with his family unless they apologize profusely to Meghan, per Express UK.

"I believe he’s got a list of what he’s angry about - [it] goes way back. And he wants to go one-by-one and get an apology for how he’s been treated and how she’s been treated. It’s not going to happen,” Angela said of King Charles. "First of all you don’t know why they should be apologizing to Meghan. I mean you really think that she should apologize to them, but that’s not on,” she went on.

Angela Levin, who wrote “CAMILLA: From Outcast to Queen Consort,” explained that King Charles’ 75th birthday would only be for family, despite the snub of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. "King Charles wants a quiet birthday this year. This one, he feels after the Coronation and all these things, that actually it's not appropriate [to have a large party],” she stated.

The royal analyst also highlighted why King Charles could be reluctant to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the family gathering. "If you had a member of the family who was so nasty to you, was so nasty to the woman that you loved and was really cruel in every way, lied all the way through, you can’t actually feel the same warmth. What you can do is say, if you want to come you are welcome, which he has said loads of times to Harry - the door is open. King Charles is very annoyed about how rude they were,” Angela said.

There have been conflicting stories about whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to the King Charles’ birthday gala, following allegations that the Duke of Sussex had declined the invitation.

Meghan Markle’s ‘Awkward’ Gesture Towards ‘Preoccupied’ Prince Harry

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for the first time since a new feud over the King Charles’ 75th birthday bash arose. According to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's spokesman, the couple were "not approached" by His Majesty to attend a function at Clarence House in London, rather than denying any invitation.

King Charles’ closest friends and family are expected to attend to commemorate the landmark birthday. The ongoing feud between the Sussexes and the Royal Family has resurfaced, and just hours after the invitation dispute was revealed, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were photographed by CBS at the United States Navy SEALs in San Diego, California, to open a new training facility, as per The Mirror.

But it was while the two were on stage, Meghan Markle allegedly made the "awkward" motion towards her husband, who was said to be "preoccupied." Before the foundation's CEO Robin King cut the ribbon, she is claimed to have gently urged a "glum" Prince Harry forward.
