American Idol judge Katy Perry made the most of the Memorial Day weekend by spending time at the Butterfly Beach in Montecito, California, with her fiance Orlando Bloom.
Perry is pregnant with her first child with Bloom. While this is Perry's first, this will be the second for Bloom, who has a nine-year-old son named Flynn with ex-wife, former Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr.
According to the report on Entertainment Tonight, they had a couple of friends with them but were seen observing social distancing as they lounged from each other in a respectable distance. Bloom was also seen surfing while Perry was relaxing on the sand with her baby bump. The couple and their friends were also lounging at a good distance away from the other beachgoers.
Perry and Bloom met in 2016 during the after-party of the Golden Globes Awards, where they were observed to have been flirting with each other and later leaving the party together. They dated for a year before calling it quits in March 2017. But, it was not long before they were back in each other's arms again.
Five months later, after their split, they were seen watching an Ed Sheeran concert together and were being very cuddly with each other. But their reconciliation was only sealed when Perry and Bloom vacationed together in the Maldives in January of 2018.
Bloom had proposed to Perry on Valentine's Day of 2019, presenting her with an unusual flower-shaped ring made up of ruby in the center and surrounded by diamonds. By March this year, Perry had announced her pregnancy after dropping her new single Never Worn White.
It seemed that the couple was planning to get married last March, but they had announced its postponement due to the Coronavirus Disease pandemic.
Both have been married once. Perry to Russel Brand from 2010 to 2012 and Bloom to Kerr from 2010 to 2013.
Last April, Perry revealed that the gender of their baby is a girl by posting a photo of her fiance covered in pink frosting on her Instagram account.
