“John Wick: Chapter 3” is also known as “John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum” and it was said to be the movie franchise’s final installment. However, as the director and Keanu Reeves expressed their willingness to go for more sequels, it is possible that the upcoming movie will not be the last as originally planned.
In his previous interview with GQ magazine, he said he is not unhappy with playing his character in John Wick. Keanu Reeves stated that he will make more of movies like this if fans want it and there is still a big demand for it.
“As far as my legs can take me,” he said. “As far as the audience wants to go.”
Likewise, Chad Stahelski, “John Wick: Chapter 3” director also revealed that he and Keanu Reeves still has lots of ideas for possible movie sequels. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he also seemed to have hinted that there could be more “John Wick” sequels coming in the future especially of the upcoming Chapter 3 will be a big hit just like the first two films.
“I enjoy making these movies because there’s no limit. We create our own mythology, and we have a studio that both stays out of our way and supports us on the wacky decisions, the director said. “If people go see the movie, and it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days. I could live here for the rest of my career. If people like it and want to watch more, I could think of way worse ways to spend your career.”
At any rate, “John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum” will pick up from where the second sequel left off. Keanu Reeve’s John Wick character will be the target of killers as his head has been listed for a big bounty. His initial intention to seek revenge for the death of his wife and pet led to a bigger incident and now he needs to run for his life.
The movie’s official synopsis of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” reads: “Super-assassin John Wick returns and must fight his way out of New York as the world's top assassins are after the $14 million price tag on his head.”
“John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” is set to be released to cinemas worldwide on May 17.
