Jaxx 1.0 multi-platform blockchain wallet moves out of beta for all device versions

Jaxx, a unified platform which provides wallet services for Bitcoin as well as Ethereum users, has announced the launch of its multi-platform blockchain wallet.

The company said in the announcement that Jaxx 1.0 is officially out of beta for all device versions and ready to become all-in-one digital wallet solution, following an extensive testing phase.

“Jaxx 1.0 is now available for iOS, Android, PC/Mac/Linux desktops, and as a Chrome/Firefox browser extension. Jaxx 1.0 supports bitcoin and ether, and will be adding full support for The DAO later this week, with many more coins and tokens to follow”, the announcement reads.

Last week, Jaxx 1.0 was released on the App Store, which marked its public debut on Apple devices as well as being the first Ethereum wallet for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod).

To ensure consistency of experience and design across all devices, all versions of Jaxx are built on the same Javascript/HTML codebase. This further ensures that Jaxx would be able to rapidly deploy new updates for all device versions to add features and quickly respond to user feedback.

Speaking of security, all balances and private keys are backed up by a single 12-word mnemonic, which can also be used to pair the wallet on multiple devices, meaning that users will have secure and quick access to all of their funds and tokens.

For added security in case any of the devices is compromised, an optional security PIN protects all functions that can be used to pair the wallet or remove funds.

Jaxx integrated with crypto-currency exchange platform ShapeShift.io in March 2016, allowing users to buy Bitcoin and Ether directly inside their wallet.
