Italian industrial turnover index and new orders drop in July

Italian industrial turnover index dropped 0.5 percent sequentially in July on a seasonally adjusted basis. The average of the last three months rose 0.3 percent compared to the previous three ones.

The seasonally adjusted industrial new orders index dropped 2.9 percent sequentially. In domestic market, new orders dropped 4.2 percent and fell 0.8 percent in non-domestic market. The average of the last three months rose 0.1 percent compared to the previous three ones.

On a year-on-year basis, the industrial turnover index dropped 0.6 percent. In domestic market, the industrial turnover index dropped 0.8 percent and fell 0.3 percent in non-domestic market. Calendar working days in July 2019 were 23, one more than July 2018.

The unadjusted industrial new orders index dropped 1 percent year-on-year. Orders rose 0.3 percent in domestic market and dropped 2.9 percent in non-domestic market.

The seasonally adjusted volume turnover index dropped 0.8 percent sequentially. The average of the last three months rose 0.2 percent compared to the previous three ones. The calendar adjusted volume turnover index dropped by 0.5 percent year-on-year.
