Italian industrial production index falls in December

Italy’s seasonally adjusted industrial production index dropped in the month of December. On a sequential basis, the industrial production dropped 0.8 percent in the month. The percentage change of the average of the last three months with respect to the previous three months was -1.1.

On a year-on-year basis, industrial production fell 5.5 percent. For the whole of 2018, the Italian industrial production rose 0.8 percent year-on-year. The unadjusted industrial production index dropped 2.5 percent on a year-on-year basis.
