Innovation Ignition Competition invites blockchain projects for healthcare

Innovation Ignition Competition launched by Telehealth and Medicine Today, has called for projects that use technologies like blockchain, AI, sensors, AR robotics, among others, for application in the healthcare sector.

The competition will be held on March 16, 2017, at Greenwich, Connecticut, that will present companies that promise to radically change the future of our healthcare system with innovations that revolutionize current perspectives in telemedicine and telehealth.

The applications must demonstrate how products and services like blockchain directly impact the telehealth and medicine vertical. The conference will see expert speakers ranging from venture capitalists, TMT board members, and blockchain experts, among others.

The platform will be diverse and applicants will show and share wares in front of over 120 telehealth leaders, 22,000 readers, and Twitter followers, along with viewers of lime streaming. Only 12 semi-finalists will be selected and will be invited to TMT Jubilee that will be held on March 15, 2017. The deadline for submitting proposals is on February 17, 2017.

Blockchain technology has been into the healthcare industry in a long run. In a latest survey, IBM Institute for Business Value identified that healthcare organizations are moving fast in the sphere of blockchain adoption, seemingly faster than the financial industry. Earlier in October, the Linux Foundation’s Hyperledger project formed Hyperledger Healthcare Working Group (HLHC) that aims to house and foster technical and business-level conversations about appropriate applications for blockchain technology in the healthcare industry.
