Lot of economic dockets to be released today with high risk associated.

Data released so far -

  • Australia - Private capital expenditure dropped by -4.4% in first quarter.

  • Germany - Import price index grew 0.6% m/m in April, still down by -0.6% on yearly basis.

  • Switzerland - Swiss trade balance in April reached 2.86 billion CHF, higher than prior 2.5 billion.

Upcoming -

  • Spain - GDP estimate for first quarter along with retail sales to be released at 7:00 GMT.

  • Switzerland - Industrial production details for first quarter to be released at 7:15 GMT.

  • Italy - Consumer confidence is scheduled at 8:00 GMT.

  • UK - Preliminary estimate for first quarter GDP along with mortgage approvals stat will be released at 8:30 GMT. GFK consumer confidence is scheduled at 23:00 GMT.

  • Portugal - Confidence survey for consumers and business are scheduled for release today.

  • Euro zone - Several sentiment indicator to be released at 9:00 GMT, Consumer confidence, services sentiment, economic sentiment, business climate, industrial confidence. European financial stability report will be released at 10:00 GMT.

  • US - Low key economic releases are scheduled from US. Initial jobless claims is scheduled at 12:30 GMT, followed by pending home sales at 14:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly storage estimate of natural gas and crude at 14:30 and 15:00 GMT. FED's Kocherlakota is scheduled to speak at 18:45 GMT.

  • Canada - Canada will release first quarter current account details at 12:30 GMT along with industrial product and raw material price details.

  • New Zealand - Building permits for April is scheduled for release at 22:45 GMT.

  • Japan - Lot of data from Japan. CPI stats for April will be released at 23:30 GMT along with unemployment details. Industrial production details will be released at 23:50 GMT.

  • Auctions - US will auction 7 year note at 17:00 GMT.
