Data released so far –

 

  • China – Consumer price index declined -0.2% in April, up 2.3% from a year back. Producer price index declined -3.4% y/y.

 

Upcoming –  

 

  • Switzerland – Unemployment rate for April will be released at 5:45 GMT.

 

  • Germany – Industrial production for March will be released at 6:00 GMT. Prior 1.3% y/y, expected 1%. Trade balance will also be released at same time.

 

  • France – Industrial output and budget will be released at 6:45 GMT.

 

  • United States – FED’s William Dudley will be speaking at 7:15 GMT. NFIB business optimism index is scheduled for release at 10:00 GMT, prior 92.6. JOLTS job openings will be released at 14:00 GMT. Prior 5.445 million.

 

  • Italy – Industrial production for March will be released at 8:00 GMT. Prior 1.2% y/y.

 

  • UK – Trade balance for March will be released at 8:30 GMT. Prior -£4.8 billion.

 

  • Greece – Industrial production and consumer price index will be released at 9:00 GMT. Prior -3% and -1.5% respectively.

 

  • New Zealand – RBNZ will release financial stability report at 20:00 GMT.. RBNZ governor Wheeler will be speaking at 21:00 GMT.

 

  • Auctions – Spain will auction 6 month and 12 month bonds. US will auction 1 month bills and 3 year note at 15:30 GMT and 17:00 GMT.
