Guide to today’s important data and events

Lot of economic dockets scheduled for today and some with high risks associated. Focus is on NFP from U.S.

Data released so far 

  • China – Manufacturing PMI in China reached above 50.2 from previous 49. Non-manufacturing PMI moved higher to 53.8 from 52.7. Caixin manufacturing PMI edged up to 49.7 from 48 prior.
  • Japan – Manufacturing PMI reached 49.1. Vehicle sales declined to -3.2% in March.

Upcoming 

  • UK – Nationwide house prices report will be released at 6:00 GMT. Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 8:30 GMT.
  • Spain – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:15 GMT.
  • Switzerland – Retail sales report for March will be released at 7:15 GMT, followed by SVME PMI at 7:30 GMT.
  • Italy - Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:45 GMT, followed by unemployment rate for February at 8:00 GMT.
  • Germany – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:55 GMT.
  • France – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:50 GMT.
  • Greece - Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 8:00 GMT.
  • Euro Zone - Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 8:00 GMT. Unemployment report for February will be released at 9:00 GMT.
  • United States –Non-farm payroll report for March will be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by Markit manufacturing PMI at 13:45 GMT and ISM manufacturing PMI at 14:00 GMT, along with Michigan consumer confidence.
  • Canada – RBC manufacturing PMI will be released at 13:30 GMT.
