Lot of economic dockets scheduled for today and some with high risks associated.

 

Data released so far –

 

  • New Zealand – ANZ business confidence dropped to 3.2 in February from 7.1 in January. M3 money supply rose 7.3% y/y compared to 7.6% prior.

 

  • Australia – Private sector credit rose 6.6% y/y in February. HIA new home sales declined by -5.3% in February.

 

Upcoming –  

 

  • Japan – Housing starts report and construction orders will be released at 5:00 GMT.

 

  • Germany – Retail sales for February will be released at 6:00 GMT.

 

  • France – Producer prices and consumer spending will be released at 6:45 GMT.

 

  • Spain – HICP inflation for March, Retail sales for February and Current account for January, all will be released at 7:00 GMT.

 

  • UK – Bank of England’s governor Carney scheduled to speak at 19:00 GMT. UK GDP data will be released at 8:30 GMT.

 

  • Italy – Consumer prices for March will be released at 9:00 GMT. Producer price index will be released at 10:00 GMT.

 

  • Greece – Retail sales for January will be released at 9:00 GMT.

 

  • Euro Zone – Consumer prices for March will be released at 9:00 GMT. ECB will release monetary policy minutes at 11:30 GMT.

 

  • United States –Weekly jobless claims report will be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by Chicago PMI at 13:45 GMT. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory at 14:30 GMT.

 

  • Canada – GDP for January will be released at 12:30 GMT.

 

  • Australia – AIG performance of manufacturing index will be released at 22:30 GMT.
