Lot of economic dockets scheduled for today and some with high risks associated.

Data released so far -

  • New Zealand - Inflation expectations dropped 1.6% from 1.9% prior.
  • China - Money supply rose 14% in January, New loans up Yuan 2.51 trillion.

Upcoming -  

  • Italy - Trade balance for December will be released at 9:00 GMT.

  • UK - Inflation reading will be released at 9:30 GMT, which will include RPI, CPI, PPI and HPI for January month.

  • Germany - Zew survey for current situation and economic sentiment will be released at 10:00 GMT.

  • Euro Zone - Zew survey economic sentiment will be released at 10:00 GMT.

  • US - Empire state manufacturing index will be released at 13:30 GMT, followed by NAHB house price index at 15:00 GMT. Treasury department will announce inflows to treasuries at 21:00 GMT.

  • Canada - Manufacturing shipments for December will be released at 13:30 GMT.

  • Australia - Westpac leading index will be released at 23:30 GMT.

  • New Zealand - Global dairy auction is scheduled for today.

  • Japan - Machinery orders for December will be released at 23:50 GMT.

  • Auctions - Germany will auction 10 year bond. Spain will be auctioning 6 month and 12 month letras today. US will auction 3 month and six month bills at 16:30 GMT.
