TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 128 West State Café marks its official “grand opening” on Tuesday, January 12, from 10:30am to 11:30am, with the ribbon cutting ceremony set for 11:00am. Located in Trenton across the street from the State Capitol, the Café is now open weekdays from 7:00am to 4:00pm serving breakfast and lunch year round.
Under the direction of Charlie and Sharon Yeh of Sumo Asian Cuisine and Viva Gelato Café in neighboring Pennington, and managed by Kelvin Johnson, the café serves Small World Coffee, cappuccino, espresso, freshly baked breads and bagels for breakfast, and a variety of sandwiches and Panini made with freshly roasted meats and salads for lunch.
“We love the neighborhood,” says Charlie Yeh, “so when a group of business people along West State Street asked us to partner with them to open a top notch breakfast and lunch café that would serve as a gathering place across from the State Capitol, we were in!”
128 West State Café owners include Brad Brewster, Thomas Byrne, Norris Clark, Dale Florio, Kevin Hagan, Jim McQueeny, and David Smith, each of whom work at nearby offices.
“The café gives new meaning to ‘Capitol perk,’” says Dale Florio. “We’re inviting everyone on Capitol business to take a little bi-partisan break for some good food.”
