‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: Sam, Gilly Featured in New Set Photographs; John Bradley Reveals Ending to be a Game-Changer

‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 on-set photographs showed Sam and Gilly on the run but it remains unclear where the two are headed. Meanwhile, Sam actor John Bradley revealed that the ending will be a game-changer for the series.

According to Comicbook.com, new photographs from the filming set revealed Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) and Wilding love Gilly (Hannah Murray) on the move. They were accompanied by other extras wearing costumes that may be that of Bravos’. It is unclear where the two are headed.

Sam, Jon Snow’s (Kit Harrington’s) closest friend from the Night’s Watch, left the Wall by season 6 to travel to Oldtown to study and replace Aemon (Peter Vaughan) as the new maester of their military order believing that although he cannot fight, he could still help their cause with newfound knowledge. He took Gilly and the baby with him on his voyage and proceeded to arrive in Horn Hill, where they are met by Sam’s family.

Although Sam revealed his plans to train as Maester at The Citadel, Randyll (James Faulker) openly scorned and criticized his son with Gilly attempting to defend Sam. Eventually, Sam decided to leave his home with Gilly and little Sam and stole his family heirloom Heartsbane. The two were last seen arriving in Oldtown, where Sam was allowed to use the library after much convincing.

Meanwhile, John Bradley admitted that the true meaning of the popular HBO television series will finally be revealed as the series heads towards the end of its small screen run. He said during an interview with Digital Spy, "It's interesting thinking about the end of Game of Thrones… Because we don't know how it ends - we don't know who wins or who loses - we've got no idea what kind of story we're telling.”

Bradley continued, "We don't know if it's an indictment of how bad people can triumph if good men do nothing, or a redemptive story about good triumphing over evil. We just don't know, so that mystery has fed in to everything we've done so far."

Meanwhile, Variety reported that the television series is set to air a marathon run of previous seasons on HBO for the Christmas holiday. The network will air one season per day from December 26 to December 31, 2016. Each season consists of ten episodes.

‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 is expected to premiere on HBO sometime in summer 2017.
