‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: Emilia Clarke Teases End of Filming with Lip-Syncing Video; Maisie Williams Reveals Season Ends with Cliffhanger

‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 lead actress Emilia Clarke teased the end of filming with a lip-syncing video while in full costume as Daenerys Targaryen. Meanwhile, co-star Maisie Williams admitted that the upcoming season would end with a major cliffhanger.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Clarke expressed her excitement for the upcoming season of HBO’s fantasy-drama television series based on the novels authored by George R. R. Martin with an Instagram post. In the post, the 30-year old English actress announced the end of filming for season 7 with a video of herself lip-syncing to R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly” with the caption, “That feeling when at last you're a day away from wrapping season 7. I BELIEVE THIS ONES GONNA BE A MIND BLOWER...”

Clarke gained international fame for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on the series, for which she received three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama series. Dany was first introduced into the series in season 1’s premiere episode, titled “Winter Is Coming,” and stayed on as a major character through the seventh season.

The star isn’t the only one hyping up the upcoming season. Co-star Maisie Williams, who plays main character Arya Stark, also expressed her excitement during past interviews. Williams admitted that she didn’t know Arya’s fate in the upcoming episodes.

According to Den of Geek, Williams revealed during an interview with ITV’s This Morning, “This year it really kind of heats up… Coming to the end of last season, the final episodes, it really just felt like we were setting up for the finale… Everyone gets their trials and everyone get theirs tribulations, which is excellent. Particularly for Arya, there’s some high points and there’s some real low points, too.” She also teased that season 7 would end with “a huge cliffhanger.”

‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 is expected to return to HBO sometime in summer 2017. The season’s official release date has yet to be announced.
