“Alaskan Bush People” star Gabe Brown recently shared a photo with his sisters on Instagram, as they watched the 2016 movie “Passengers,” starring Chris Prat and Jennifer Lawrence. The post contained the hashtag #keytolife and a caption that asked followers what they would do if they were stuck alone on a starship for 90 years. This reportedly comes after Brown’s self-imposed isolation to protect his mother Ami’s health.
Radar Online recently reported that after suffering from a severe illness this year, Gabe Brown had to stay away from his mother in order to protect her. Fans of the show would already know that the matriarch of the Brown family was still recovering from late-stage lung cancer. The “Alaskan Bush People” star’s concern was that her fragile condition would result in Ami catching something from him.
The publication’s source reportedly noted how the experience was difficult for Gabe Brown, who was used to being with his mother. It would seem that it was all worth it, however, as the cancer has not returned.
“Last year was really tough on Gabe and when he got sick earlier this year, he had to live separately from the family so Ami didn’t catch anything,” the source said. “That was isolating for him because him and Ami are so used to being together.”
Fortunately, it would seem that Gabe Brown is now back with his family and is primed to return as the “Alaskan Bush People” star that fans have come to know. Many parts of the family’s journey and challenges will be featured in the show’s eighth season, which Discovery Channel had apparently filmed already, Popculture.com reports.
Suffice it to say, fans of “Alaskan Bush People” have a lot more to look forward to and can be thankful for the Brown family’s strength. Viewers shouldn’t have a problem deciphering what Gabe Brown meant with his #keytolife post.
