FxWirePro: USD/TRY near 4-week peak, outlook remains bullish

- The Turkish Lira plunged, drifting towards a 4-week trough recorded earlier in the week as the greenback surged against a basket of currencies.
- The dollar index gained as a record increase in U.S. retail sales in May supported views the U.S. recession might be drawing to an end.
- USD/TRY is trading 0.1 percent higher at 6.8477, having hit a high of 6.8574 on Monday, its highest since May 19.
- Immediate resistance is located at 6.8574, any close above could take it above 6.8765.
- On the downside, support is seen at 6.8274 and break below could take it near 6.8121 (7-EMA).
