- Germany: December trade balance report will be released at 7:00 GMT. German Bundesbank President Weidmann is set to speak at 8:45 GMT.
- United States: FOMC member Kaplan is scheduled for a speech at 9:50 GMT, and Kashkari at 14:00 GMT. Weekly jobless claims report will be released at 13:30 GMT. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory report at 15:30 GMT.
- Greece: Unemployment report for November will be released at 9:00 GMT.
- United Kingdom: BoE will announce rate decision at 12:00 GMT, along with the release of quarterly inflation report.
- Canada: Housing starts report will be released at 13:15 GMT, followed by house price reports at 13:30 GMT.
- Japan: December trade balance report will be released at 23:50 GMT.
- Auction: The U.S. will auction 30-year bond at 18:00 GMT.
