Lots of data and events today and some with high risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • Australia: Building permits declined by 8.7 percent in September, down 6.4 percent from a year ago.
  • New Zealand: RBNZ inflation expectations rose 1.7 percent in the third quarter.

Upcoming:

  • Japan: Consumer confidence for October will be released at 5:00 GMT.
  • United Kingdom: Nationwide house prices for October will be released at 7:00 GMT. Construction PMI will be reported at 9:30 GMT.
  • Eurozone: ECB will hold non-monetary policy meeting today.
  • Spain: Markit manufacturing PMI for October came at 8:15 GMT.
  • Italy: Markit manufacturing PMI for October came at 8:45 GMT.
  • France: Markit manufacturing PMI for October came at 8:50 GMT.
  • Germany: Markit manufacturing PMI for October came at 8:55 GMT, along with unemployment report.
  • United States: MBA mortgage applications will be released at 11:00 GMT, followed by ADP employment report at 12:15 GMT. EIA will release weekly crude oil inventory report at 14:30 GMT. FOMC will announce monetary policy decision at 18:00 GMT.
     
  • Australia: AiG performance of service index will be published at 22:30 GMT.
