Lots of economic data and events scheduled for today, and all with low to medium volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • Japan: Nikkei manufacturing PMI down to 54 in February.
     
  • Australia: Construction work done sown 19.4 percent in the fourth quarter. Wage prices up 0.6 percent in the fourth quarter, up 2.1 percent from a year ago.

Upcoming:

  • Japan: All industry activity report will be released at 4:30 GMT.
     
  • France: Flash PMI report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • Switzerland: Fourth quarter industrial production report will be released at 8:15 GMT.
     
  • Germany: Flash PMI report will be released at 8:30 GMT.
     
  • Eurozone: Flash PMI report will be released at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: Unemployment report will be released at 9:30 GMT, along with public sector borrowing report. BoE governor Carney is set to speak at 14:15 GMT at inflation report hearings along with Broadbent, Haldane, and Tenryero.
     
  • United States: Flash manufacturing PMI report will be released at 14:45 GMT, followed by existing home sales report at 15:00 GMT. FOMC will release minutes of meeting at 15:00 GMT.
     
  • Auction: U.S. will auction 5-year note at 19:00 GMT.
