Data released so far:

  • Australia: Westpac leading index up 0.1 percent in August.
     
  • Japan: BoJ kept monetary policy unchanged at today’s meeting with the rate at -0.1 percent.

Upcoming:

  • Switzerland: SECO will release economic forecasts at 5:45 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: MPC member Haldane is set for a speech at 8:00 GMT. Inflation reports will be released at 8:30 GMT.
     
  • Eurozone: Construction output reports will be published at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • United States: MBA mortgage applications report will be published at 11:00 GMT, followed by building permits and Housing starts report at 12:30 GMT. Q2 current account balance report will be released at 12:30 GMT. EIA will release weekly inventory report at 14:30 GMT.
     
  • Eurozone: ECB President Draghi is set for a speech at 13:00 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand: Q2 GDP report will be released at 22:45 GMT.
