FxWirePro: Asian markets start a new week on negative note, gold stabilizes above $1,240 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a lower note on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,244 mark while silver was trading around $15.82 mark.

Japanese banks will be closed in observance of Marine Day.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.48 pct lower at 6,238.85 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.1 pct at 2,827.08 points and China's CSI300 index to open down 0.1 pct at 3,488.97 points.

Hong Kong’s hang seng was trading 0.35 percent lower at 28,430.02 points.

Taiwanese stocks was trading around 0.95 percent lower at 10,848.93 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.26 percent lower at 10,834.22 points while BSE Sensex was trading 0.10 points lower at 36,521.82 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.33 percent lower at 2,302.55 points.
