FxWirePro: Asian markets start a new week on flat note, gold hovers around $1,490 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a mixed note on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,489 mark while silver was trading around $17.54 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.30 pct higher at 22,560.00 points.

Hang seng was trading 0.28 pct higher at 26,794.55 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.15 pct higher at 2,063.82 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX200 was trading 0.12 pct lower 6,642.28 points.

Taiwan’s TWII was trading 0.03 pct lower at 11,176.25 points.

Indian markets will remain close in observance of Maharashtra Elections.
