FxWirePro: Asian markets drastically down on trade war worry, gold hits fresh 2-week high at $1,338 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a lower note on Friday. Gold was trading around $1,338 mark while silver was trading around $16.50 mark.

Shanghai composite index to open down 2.8 pct at 3,172.77 points and China's CSI300 index to open down 3.1 pct at 3,896.74 points.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 3.95 pct lower at 20,740.55 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX200 was trading 2.09 pct lower at 5,813.90 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 2.99 pct lower at 30,142.50 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 2.28 percent lower at 2,439.23 points.

Taiwanese stocks was trading around 1.54 percent lower at 10,836.68 points.

Indonesia stocks down as much as 2.7 pct to 6085.205, their worst intraday pct fall since Nov 2016.

Philippine stocks down 2.4 pct to 7,930.16.

Singapore stocks down as much as 2.1 pct to 3,416.98, lowest since Feb 15.
