Fundamentals to watch out for this week

Compared to the previous one, this week is not that risk heavy, nevertheless the following data and events can generate volatility.

What to watch for over the coming days

  • U.S. Earnings 

Once again U.S. earnings will dominate the moves in U.S. benchmark stock index S&P 500. Some big names like J C Penny, Walt Disney are going to report this week.

  • China inflation -

China’s consumer and producer prices will be released on Tuesday and they could set the market mood not only for the day but for the week, especially for Yuan and CSI.

  • Brazil vote on impeachment –

Brazil’s senate will be voting on Wednesday, whether to impeach Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff or not. If it chooses to impeach, she will be suspended from her post for at least six months and Michel Temer will assume presidency.

  • BOE rate decision 

Bank of England is widely expected not to hike rates in Thursday’s meeting but as Brexit vote comes close, focus will be on wordings of the bank and its take on recent weakness in data.

  • U.S. data 

Retail sales data on Friday is likely to end the market and Dollar with volatility. Both FED and the world is relying on U.S. consumers to support growth.
