“Fuller House” season 4 will definitely premiere before the year ends. Will Netflix also announce the show’s renewal for a fifth season in 2018?
The spin-off sitcom centered on the life of the Fullers and the Gibblers was reportedly close to being canceled by Netflix after “Fuller House” season 4, according to TVLine. As expected, many fans were rattled by the news so the actors, and even Netflix, were quick to set the record straight.
In a statement provided to news outlets, a representative of Netflix said, "No decision has been made about the future of Fuller House.” And on a more positive note, the same announcement reiterated that “Fuller House” season 4 is going to premiere “later” in 2018.
While speaking with E! News, actress Candace Cameron Bure said even the cast and crew of “Fuller House” season 4 have not been told yet about the show’s renewal. But the actress, who plays D.J. Tanner-Fuller, was confident that 2018 would be a good year for the show, saying, “I have no doubt that we're going to be back for season 5.”
In an interview with ExtraTV, actor Juan Pablo Di Pace gave a piece of his mind about the rumors that “Fuller House” season 4 is going to their final hoorah on Netflix. After his latest performance in “Dancing with the Stars,” the actor portraying Fernando Hernandez-Guerrero-Fernandez-Guerrero echoed Bure’s statement and assured fans that their show is not canceled.
Meanwhile, both Bure and Di Pace said they usually get confirmation for the next season after the premiere of every season. So if “Fuller House” season 4 is slated to come out this year, there is a great chance that fans will get a season 5 confirmation before 2018 ends as well.
Di Pace also estimated that “Fuller House” season 4 will premiere sometime in December and added that the upcoming installment will be a “really great, fantastic season.” Di Pace also provided some teasers for season 4 but nothing that has not been reported yet.
“Kimmy is pregnant and not with Fernando’s child. She’s a surrogate. There [are] things that they haven’t really dealt with … this includes kids and drinking. And it’s a season that is kind of unusual, which is nice,” Di Pace said about “Fuller House” season 4. Kimmy (Andrea Barber) is pregnant as a surrogate for Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin).
