European markets are trading lower and hit 15 month low on data light European calendar.
Germany's DAX 30 index declined 2.58% to trade at 9,046.42, while the UK's FTSE 100 index fell 1.81% to 5,742.53.
Among the other indices, the French CAC 40 index lost 2.38% to 4,100.38, while the pan-European Euro Stoxx 50 index decreased 2.22% to 2,814.56.
Moreover, EUR/USD pair is consolidating around $1.1150 levels. It made intraday high at $1.1183 and low at $1.1128 levels.
In data front, Euro zone released Sentix Investor Confidence data with negative numbers at 6.0 vs 9.6 previous release. It is a survey of about 2,000 workers which asks respondents to rate the relative level of current economic conditions in Euro zone.
In addition, Dow Jones futures and S&P 500 futures down about 1.2 pct, Nasdaq futures down 1.6 pct. Investors will be looking ahead to comments from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen on Wednesday and Thursday, when she testifies to Congress about the economy and monetary policy.
